We are the third largest boric acid producer in the world based in Chile in the Arica and Parinacota and Antofagasta regions.

Founded in 1986 with 100% Chilean investment capital, in Quiborax we work with state-of-the-art technology and high quality standards which allow us to reach more than 52 markets in an agile and safe way, through efficient ports strategically located in the Pacific Ocean.

Our Plant

El AGUILA

This modern chemical plant has state-of-the-art technology that guarantees the quality and punctuality of its deliveries. It has a capacity to produce 110 thousand metric tons of boric acid per year. Located 59 kilometers from the Port of Arica, the plant has modern equipment and houses a state-of-the-art chemical laboratory, where Quiborax's Research and Development department develops new products for its clients around the world. El Aguila has a team of 400 people.

PRESENCE

Our operations are located in the macro mining area of northern Chile in the regions of Arica and Parinacota and Antofagasta. Thanks to a strict control of processes, technology and connectivity with the international ports of Arica, Antofagasta and Angamos (located on the Pacific Ocean coast) we are able to offer our products which we can send to any point on the planet.

Both our mines and our plant operate under strict security measures and meeting high standards of caring for the environment.
